Housekeeping Post // Why the Hell Didn’t Anybody Tell me DeeJay Punk-Roc Had a Second Album??
I was preparing an Instagram post dedicated to the absolutely killer DEEJAY PUNK-ROC album “ChickenEye” (because I’m one of those boring fucks with a feed that’s 98% pictures of his cat or of his record collection when he’s not performing/on tour), and I went to his Discogs page to try to remind myself who he … Continue reading
Catch Me Setting My Money on Fire Across the Midwest and Northeast Next Month!
I’ll announce the dates in a couple weeks. Yes, I would love to talk to your blog, podcast, or any other platform about it. Excited to see some friends, tell some jokes, buy some records, and hopefully sell some of my own. Looking forward to increasing my understanding of what Metallica were talking about in that … Continue reading
The Disimpsonment Plan
Two things I thoroughly enjoy are the music of the Dismemberment Plan and the mid-90s Golden Age of The Simpsons. Thanks to Frinkiac and my penchant for procrastination, I’ve combined the two. I hope the incredibly niche audience who dwells within this venn diagram overlap sees this and makes it go viral. I know that … Continue reading

099: Friendlytown Launders its Telethon* Proceeds!
*From some OTHER telethon than the one we performed at on Sunday night as part of WOZOfest 2018!
Join us in Friendlytown as we try to pick the best way to launder all the money generously donated to us by our supporters during a telethon we did recently (note: NOT the one from Sunday. Some other telethon. It happened that time you were out of town. Now stop asking questions).
How should we invest all of these profi- I mean, proceeds? What stocks in the Friendlytown Offshore Stock Hedge Operation (FO-SHO) are looking the best? Are those pork futures looking safer this time around? The last thing we’d want to have to do is call Dustin Meadows back to down to take care of another hot dog surplus this Fall…. but anyway, tell a friend about the show but not any details. Gotta keep our noses clean here in Friendlytown. Continue reading
098: Friendlytown’s Charity Telethon!
It took a very special occasion to get Friendlytown out of it’s normal meeting time, and that special occasion was a fundraiser show for WOZO-FM, Community Powered Radio. Granted, the location was the same (The Pilot Light), but the night, occasion, and audience was mostly different. Our volunteers, Tyler, Beth, and Jared, took calls all…30 minutes (that was our time slot) from a variety of interesting and confused people, to help raise money. Tune in and hear us confuse the hell out a bunch of people for a great cause. Continue reading
At the Hideaway in Johnson City Tonight
We see you, Tri-Cities. I’ve wanted to perform at the Hideaway since the first time I wandered in there a few years ago before (or after, my memory is fuzzy) Hunter Roberts’ fantastic Blue Moon Theater show. Tonight, I get to headline a show there with my friends Sean Simoneau and Shane Rhyne (the latter … Continue reading
097: Friendlytown Learns its Ancestry!
Have YOU ever wondered where you came from? Wondered where your ancestors “kicked it” hundreds of years before you were the gleam in one of their descendants’ eye? Well, in this episode, the citizens of Friendlytown will be getting their results from all of the best off-brand genealogy tests: 22.99 and Me, Ancestry.biz, and all the others.
TUNE IN as our residents engage in these moments of personal discovery and epiphany about why they are the way they are. Continue reading
A Brief Look Back at Cola Comedy Con
I try to do these fests justice on this site; I really do. I want nothing more than to be able to sit down after taking a day or two to decompress and pontificate over the experiences I shared with fellow comedians, neat things I saw and ate, and takeaways from the weekend I hope … Continue reading
