Thanks to everyone who came out last night for Friendlytown’s One Year anniversary show. We had a lot of fun, ate pizza and cake, and reflected on how The Pilot Light has, between Friendtown and 2 years of QED Comedy Laboratory before us, hosted comedy just about every Monday night for three years. Unbelievable. Check out our Facebook page for some classy photos. Podcast available soon; we have a lot of catching up to do with those, I know.
ANYWAY (the point of this post) is that Issue 3 of Friendlytown the Knox Comedy zine is now available after its release last night. It is 28 pages long, with full-color cover art by Boston McCown that gets better every time I look at it. It has insane and exclusive new articles by over eight Friendlytown contributors, including short stories, conspiracy theories, and an interview with Jägermeister Templehoff. We printed them on the Risograph at Striped Light, and only 50 made.
The zines cost $4, and you can buy one from me or Todd Lewis in person or at the Pilot Light every Monday/Thursday night, OR you can Paypal $5 to tywilliamson [at] gmail [dot] com and one of us will happily mail you one ASAP.
I’ll also have some copies available this Friday night at Sugar Mama’s, featuring for Alex Stokes’ book release show. Okay, thanks everyone! See you around.
