After WAY too long, I deactivated the “Pro” or “Plus” or whatever better-tier account I had on this page. I’m glad I did, but WOOF has my mainframe become enshittified immediately on this site. The first thing I saw when I clicked over from my real website dashboard was a notification that half of my storage had been cut. Big whoop. So long as I can still type words whenever something inspires me to the point that I wouldn’t mind some stranger (or, bot, as most of the comments showing up on 12-year-old posts appear to be) seeing it.

In some cases, I have no issues with embedding a video from YouTube or Vimeo when I think it would be, on the whole, beneficial for someone to see it. Sumukh Torgalkar, a comedy friend of now closing in on two decades, released a new comedy special that he recorded in his adopted Fort Collins, Colorado. This is a perfect case study of spreading the word, because, the worse and more fascist mainstream comedy becomes, the more people should see stuff done by people who have no stake in accelerating our mass extinction. In fact, Sumukh is very much against making the world worse. This may be a controversial statement, but he’s already left the world and comedy scenes better than he started, even through lengthy (and very necessary) Kaufmanesque “heel turns” and letting certain ships sail.

But I won’t speak for the guy; let his own words do the talking, and tell a friend to pay whatever money he asks for the next time he’s in your town to see him perform, because the price will be fair.
