In “Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment” (perhaps the best of Season Eight and unquestionably one of the last great episodes of The Simpsons), Homer walks into Moe’s bustling speakeasy and says he’s glad Moe is back in business. “Yeah,” Moe replies, “That was a scary coupla hours.” Well, First Friday Comedy is not officially back in business, but we are grateful to be back in some form after October, skipping our first month since May 2015 (other than a snow closure in January that we’re still bummed over).
This Friday, the very funny Krish Mohan will be making his return to Knoxville for the debut of First Friday Comedy at the Pilot Light! TN’s own Derik Zoo will be through to feature, and Friendlytown kingpins Saint Thomas LeDoux and Alyssa Miller will be opening. I will be your MC.
7pm showtime! $5 donations at the door. 18+ to get in, 21 to drank.
Something about welcoming a new month and eagerly anticipating Friday just feels right, you know? Join us this Friday for the temporary return!
